Clinical nutrition

  • The Clinical Nutrition service at the Royal Children’s Hospital provides support for patients with complex nutritional issues requiring Parenteral Nutrition (PN) and intestinal rehabilitation. The Clinical Nutrition service also cares for a number of patients that require PN at home and works alongside the gastroenterology and intestinal transplant teams.

    The Clinical Nutrition service consists of:

    • Clinical nutrition consultants
    • Clinical nutrition fellow
    • Clinical nutrition nurse consultants
    • Dietitian
    • Sterile pharmacist

    The Clinical Nutrition outpatient clinic runs on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at specialist area A.

    Please note: The weight management clinic is run through the Department of Endocrinology, and is an affiliated service.
